Sustainability
"Being the people of this blue planet is our most profound privilege and power, For if we be the ocean's saviors, Then it is surely ours."
Working with an understanding of nature and our planet’s limited resources, Collagenx addresses sustainability issues throughout the whole chain of custody to produce all-natural and eco-friendly fish collagen peptides. We use wild-caught fish, taking care to not endanger marine species and to minimize our environmental impact.
All-Natural and Eco-Friendly Products
With a strong focus on delivering market-leading technologies, we are equally passionate about working in harmony with the environment. Collagenx partners extract collagen peptides from fish scales and skin through a complex and controlled hydrolysis process that leaves no chemical residue. As a result, our bioactive and non-GMO sourcing is the basis for working with nature, while minimizing our environmental impact.
Wild-Caught Fish
Wild fish
The fish skin and scales used in the production of the Collagenx Fish Collagen Peptide Wild Granular in our beverages is a natural by-product of the seafood industry that would otherwise be discarded and lost.
Seafood companies create fish by-products (e.g., fish skin and scales) when the fish are prepared for human consumption. Production of marine-based food and bioactive ingredients from these by-products is growing in popularity as it helps reduce processing waste, thereby catering to ethical and environmental concerns. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, discards from the world’s fisheries in 2005 exceeded seven million tons, with only 50% of the total catch being used for actual human consumption.
Following an ocean-friendly fishing policy, Collagenx uses species of fish that are not red-rated by the Blue Ocean Institute. Our collagen is extracted from wild-caught sustainable deep-sea fish.
Our slogan "Be The Wave" is more than just creating your own path in life. It also represents protecting our blue planet and all of it's inhabitants.
The Wave Warriors: Guardians of the Blue Planet
The Wave Warriors represent everyone who embraces the mission of Collagenx—our dedicated consumers and employees alike. Together, we stand as champions for our oceans, their vibrant inhabitants, and the vital marine biodiversity that sustains life on Earth.
Our commitment extends to working hand-in-hand with communities to protect and restore the extraordinary ecosystems of our oceans, coasts, and Great Lakes. By uniting our efforts, we safeguard critical species, preserve the habitats they rely on, and honor our planet’s rich maritime history.
Through targeted initiatives, we take action to remove marine debris, restore ecosystems, and conserve species at risk. The Wave Warriors are more than a movement—they are a force for a thriving, resilient blue planet.

Why we need to protect our oceans.
Marine biodiversity – the variety of life in our ocean – underpins the health of the planet and our social and economic well-being. The ocean - where 99 percent of all livable space on Earth exists - makes life possible.
It is 20 times more powerful than land plants and soils combined.
The ocean, its ecosystems, and species absorb 26 percent of the carbon dioxide that humans emit into the atmosphere – 20 times more than land plants and soils combined. Yet, 60 percent of the world’s major marine ecosystems have been degraded or are being used unsustainably, threatening the ocean’s ability to regulate the climate and provide critical services for communities.

The Great Lakes.
The Great Lakes account for more than 20 percent of the world’s surface freshwater. Fresh waters are experiencing rapid declines in biodiversity due to growing populations, human activities, invasive species, and climate change.
