Effects of hydrolyzed collagen supplementation on skin aging: a systematic review and meta-analysis
The total number of participants across the 19 included clinical trials was 1,125. The participants were aged between 20 and 70 years, with 95% being women.
This study type is known as a meta-analysis. A meta-analysis is a set of statistical comparisons of results across many publications that all ask and look at a similar question. Meaning that these researchers wanted to compare and analyze the findings of many publications that all dove into the topic of hydrolyzed collagen supplementation and its effect on skin aging! What they happened to notice across a majority of these studies, is that hydrolyzed collagen supplementation improved skin elasticity, hydration and wrinkles! Slay queen collagen!

Effects of Oral Collagen for Skin Anti-Aging: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis Szu-Yu Pu 1,†, Ya-Li Huang 2,†, Chi-Ming Pu 3,4, Yi.
This is another meta-analysis, in our last meta-analysis we briefly introduced what that means but left out what a systematic review is. A systematic review in research is a type of review that uses repeatable methods to find, select and synthesize all of the current evidence. It will try to answer a research question and detail how it arrived at that answer. In this meta-analysis they looked at the effects of oral collagen on skin anti-aging. They demonstrate through the literature that oral collagen supplementation has a positive effect on skin health! Gimme my moneyyyy collagen. (idk lol help me)

Unlocking the Therapeutic Potential of Marine Collagen: A Scientific Exploration for Delaying Skin Aging
This is another review type article. Specifically looking at the potential of marine collagen and its possible effects on various outcomes. What they discuss is that marine collagen helps to combat skin aging by minimizing oxidative stress, photodamage, and the appearance of wrinkles. Like other researchers they have some suggestions for future research, and just like us that shows they care for the future of collagen and its possible benefits for us all!
